I joined The British Engineerium in 2006 and had the honor of working with Chief Engineer Peter as Second Engineer.
I had the privilege of learning a great deal from him over the years while also sharing my own knowledge and skills with him. Together, we built a strong team and developed a close friendship. Iām thoroughly enjoying my role as Second Engineer while also embracing the challenges and opportunities that come with being Facilities Manager.
I was partly involved in the restoration of The British Engineerium and contributed to numerous fascinating projects, including the complete restoration and rebuild of a 1900 Locomobile Steamer Type 2.
However, my favourite project was the restoration of the Shand Mason & Co. Steam Fire Engine, which I brought back to life. Later, it was sold back to its original home and is now displayed in Barnstaple Museum.
